Hello to all in the Diesel Place. I am considering the purchace of a used '01 2500. After lurking a bit I am wondering if there is any valid reason for buying an LB7 that has 145K on the clock. The financial risk of ownership seems huge, considering the reputation for fuel system problems. Is the LB7 really that bad or is this a case of hearing only of the failures?

i dont know all that much about LB7's but my buddy does have one. has over 200K. seems to be in good shape for the most part. but most the time on this site you are just going to hear about the things that can go wrong. at least thats one thing that ive learned. but if you do buy it or not good luck in your search for a D-Max.
