I have the DIC in my truck but it doesn't have all of the options that say an LT would have. Could I take the truck to a dealership and have them hookup the Tech II and have them add those options or is it only a factory added thing?

I think they make pills to upgrade the DIC now... sorry, couldn't resist. Do a search for steering wheel controls. Once you get the wheel, clockspring, and buttons in...dealership just has to reflash the ecm. Not an all bad deal.

Depends of what controls you are wanting, an 2004 didn't have the fuel filter life and a few other options and IIRC they can not be added.

Actually, there was a reflash for "fuel filter life". It's buried in an injector TSB.

What options aren't on your DIC? Powerfold, elevated idle???

I have the elevated idol but the stuff like memory seats, power fold, seats move back when truck put in park, and things like that aren't in there.

All options for gthe DIC are programmed (enabled) with the TECH II. Good luck finding a good (cooperative) dealer.
