Has anyone had the drivers seat track tear the carpet when moving the seat all the way forward. (My wife is really short). Never had this problem in the 03' burb because it had the pedals that moved.

The tech wrote in his notes on the work order "NO CORRECTIONS MADE-DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE-NO WAY TO REVISE. WOULD MAKE CARPET HIGHER & WOULD DAMAGE CARPET.

Am I not hearing this right, the design of the vehicle. This is what you get when you spend $40,000.00 on a truck. Funny thing is my father has 07 classic and does not tear the carpet. What gives.

In your opinion, should the dealer be fixing this or what?

It absolutely should be fixed...especially because it was the "design of the vehicle." that's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. Over the past 3 months, there's been so many posts of asinine dealer responses to problems. Take it back and demand it be fixed. The seat should be able to travel all the way forward and back and NOT screw anything up. What bullshit. :(
