I just in stalled the Edge w/ attitude last week and exhaust temps have not been a problem, but my wife said I could order an exhaust and I want to do so before she changes her mind. I was going to buy a magnaflow 4" exhaust, but after reading different threads i really don't know which I want. I was going to get stainless, but some people say they get surface rust on them quickly. Will the aluminized be fine in north Texas? Which brand should I go with? How is ease of installation and finish of each product? I want a good sound with no drone and would like to keep the in cab noise as quite as possible. After reading all the info on this site I'm more confused on what I want now than when I started. Any input from people who have experience with this systems would be great. Thanks.

I run a Magnaflow and I'am ever so pleased. I took off the cat and ran a 4" turbo back. You hear the drone at first start up....normal for anything with aftermarket exhaust, and a drone at 55 to about 65 which can be moderately annoying. Overall I love the sound.

Of course we are biased but get the MBRP, more of them on more Duramaxes than anything else and folks are always posting excellent fit and finish posts etc. Check the reviews section on this site there is a complete write up on the duals on an LB7 truck.

The other thing is we can offer you aluminized, T-409 and T-304 stainelss steel systems. Base your decision on how long you'll keep the truck and where you live. If you're keeping it less than 5 years in N. Tejas aluminized will do fine. T-409 is a slightly better material than the stock material so look at your stock system and see what it looks like and you can expect the same for the T-409. Our T-304 is a top flight stuff and will last longer than you and I will, no corrosion or anything and is shipped with the dual wall tips too. The aluminized and T-409 do not come with tips but they are available as an option and you get to select the tip of your choice too!

i too have a 4" magnaflow system and love it.
