Banks 6 Gun & speedloader, soon to be with a Predator to correct for the 285's. Only symptom is lightly surging idle when cold, about mid to upper 60's over here. I don't feel your pain .):h

Hypertech here. Had too many problems with the Edge J/A. Sent it back like what seemed to be 34 times. Plugged the newest one back in and it wouldnt even start. Plugged the factory wires back in and it threw like 8 codes and ran like a garbage. So, hypertech feels better low end right off idle than Edge on level 3. So far no problems but seems to be a but more sluggish in these winter months.

Also, the tune for 33" tires didnt work. Now the speedo is off by 4-5 high. Maybe I'll tune for 31's and verify that with the GPS.

I am running the Bullydog power pup and TST Powermax. Of course right now I only have the bullydog tune actually running since it is winter.;)

hi ryan: i have tried lets say most out their, and i give much credit to jk for making a great tune, might be a bit soft off the start but makes some great hp by itself, last time neted me 231hp from a single box, and seams to work great with lp, wi and nitrous i have been told, and at a good price, but i have found that stacking jk with the pp seams to be an extreme killer):h , gives in the low 500hp on winter fuel, and can be used as a daily driver, with not to much timing rattle

it comes down to what you are look for, seams most mods here like the tts and also tryed many tunes out, might know something i do not

Banks 6 Gun with Speedloader. Keep it on level 6. Runs smooth, pulls hard, and MGP even seems to be improving. I will continue to monitor this and report.

I had a little surging on level 3 but it seems to have gone away. No problem on "kill mode":ro)

Strong consistent power throughout entire RPM range, defuel between shifts, tranny slippage protection, EGT backdown protection, I can't ask for more. I'm not a hot rod type so "getting off the line" isn't what I"m looking for. Very happy so far. JJ :)

6-gun with speedloader on an LB7. I run it on level 2. Feels more than the 31hp they claim on this level. I really like the ability to adjust on the fly.

Did I mention I pull my 5ver all over the east coast, even in winter?:rolleyes: Hmm, Greenville SC last week stuck in an ice storm at 22*, edge worked fine once LLY warmed up to operating temp. ;) Actually I believe that the edge not putting more fuel to the fire (so to speak) until the engine is within its normal operating temp range may not be such a bad idea. Anyway I didn't experience any hesitation, turbo bark, ??? :rolleyes:

Like I said earlier I'm not trying to peel the rubber off my tires getting out of the hole. For racing performance there may be better tunes, but I wanted EGT gauge and backdown protection, tranny protection, defuel between shifts, tire size adjustability, boost gauge, etc. Didn't see any others that offered all that in one package. JJ's still happy! :D Others towing heavy are also happy with the E/J w/attitude's performance.

I will keep an eye on things to see if any glitches are noted. Until then I think I'll keep the E/J w/attitude. Later. JJ :)

As you said, it's all in how you use "it" and your truck. You mentioned you are towing in colder weather. I assume your making longer trips and running a little hotter with the E/J due to the fact you are sight-seeing all over the country (while I'm at work :)) Others with the E/J aren't towing as much in colder weather and using the truck as a daily driver in cold weather. I think this is where you would see a problem with the E/J - at least that's what my "buddy" is experiencing. He reports daily driving in cold weather - E/J has problems. Pulling, even shorter distances, in cold weather - no problems.

Banks usually set on 3. I haven't had any problems and have been happy with the increase. I do wonder why several talk bad about Banks. Is it just brand loyalty or founded reasons? Thanks for starting this thread.

I have a friend with a 2001 Powerstroke 7.3L with a 100hp Superchip programmer. I ran him with my STOCK Duramax. I still beat him pretty good. He runs a 16.8 1/4 mile WITH the chip. It's a crew cab long box 1-ton (single rear wheels) with a 4" lift and 35's-which explains alot of it. But still, too slow and too loud.

I'll play. Were is he at? He have any idea that your lineing up a string of events? YOU want to put money on any of these events? I dont want to stick the poor guys $$$ on the line if he has no idea whats going on. I'm sure after we all go play if he is game we can get him to trade up(and I dont mean ditching the Ford)
