If my current dealership gives me a had time about replacing my injectors is there possibly a plan B out there. Assuming they do not void my warranty. Is there a Diesel Place friendly dealership out there in the Mid West?

Thanks

Did they give you trouble over the Edge? I've always taken my truck to Jim Butler Chevrolet which is now in Gravois Bluffs in Fenton. They worked with me when my head gasket blew. I had the exhaust and the Predator at that time. I did have the my egt probe hanging out of the block and they didn't say anything. Knock on wood, I haven't had the injector problems yet since my warranty went up last month. Which dealer are/ where you using?

They have not given me trouble directly, just indirectly over the last two visits. The last service writer printed me out a service bulletin about not to decline a warranty job just because of an after market power product. The bulletin said there needed to be three things met before they deny a service claim.

When he gave it to me I read through it and asked about the three items. Then he had to read it.... then he said I should be fine. But he brought it up again today.

The problem I have is the GMC dealership...... it is a soccer mom dealership. Very very little in the way of HD trucks there never mind on the lot. :(

Sinclair GMC is on Lindbergh in South County. I bought a truck from them once, but I don't know if they know much about D-Max's. I know they have great service. I guess you have to take your truck to a GMC dealer too for the warranty claim.

Yes I do, already talked to a Chevy dealer about this when I first got the truck.

There are some bulletins on Power ups, but most have to do with internal engine failures, cam pins shearing, wear patterns on internal parts, etc. Injectors should be covered since they have such a high failure rate even when stock. Do some research on the Magnussen Moss warranty act in the event that they try and deny warranty coverage.

Thank you for the reply and I have a copy of the power ups bulletins. I will look into the the Magnussen Moss.

I agree, these injectors do not need any help to fail! Hopefully I caught this problem and they fix all 8 before we towing this summer in the middle of nowhere.

I will let you know what happens and thanks again for you help!

you could just take the edge off and go to a different dealership if they give you trouble........
