Got my new 2005 LLY Diesel, When i start her up and put in drive when cold she has a low wine, till it warms up or LB7 fleet does not do this. She runs fine
just when cold this very low sound winning is this ok, Temp outside is around 70

It only wines when i drive when stop it goes away, When its warm its gone for the day

My allison wines when cold but I mean cold -5 to 30F

Are you sure its not the turbo you are hearing? My truck will really wind up when the high idle kicks in on cold mornings. I cant say I've ever noticed noise in the Allison.

i got a vhs tape with my truck that addressed noises that one might consider unusual but arenot cuz ita a mean freakin truck !! i dont know if thay still give these tapes out..most of it addressed the allisson..bc
