How much would you expect to pay for a computerized alignment for a 2500? I just got a quote of $79.95+ to do my truck. Does this seem expensive or about right?

I pay about $35 here for computerized alignment and that's on their new alignment machine.

Hi,

i have a 03 3500 and i had an alignment done, and it cost me $160.00 :(
and the truck was never right from day one,i went thru 2 sets of front tires by 17,000 miles, and i told the dealer it was never right.
she told me it took 3 hours to align it! so,the price you got is a good price!

Paid $40 at the local Walker Tire truck service shop. Came out perfect. Dealer quoted $80 though. I don't think $80 is too high from the dealer, they are usually kinda high on everything.

Cool...thanks for the replies guys. I just got it done this morning, and it's sooo much better than it was before. It actually drives straight now! It was $90.83 out the door with tax, etc., so a little high I guess, but the shop is just down the road from my office, so I figure I paid a little for convenience.

Jamie,

Just wondering, if it's an 05, shouldn't/wouldn't it still be covered under warranty if you are having a problem? I have noticed my steering wheel is not centered anymore. I need to have this looked at.

Normally I would say yes, however (#1) I cranked the t-bars to accomodate the 285s I put on, so the fronts were out of whack from that, and (#2) the truck had some damage to the front suspension a couple of months ago and needed it done for that reason as well.

I would have that looked at though, since I ruined a perfectly good set of tires on my old Yukon because the dealer was stupid and didn't own up to it.
