When i start the truck it misses very badly. The needle jumps about 1 or 2 hundred rpm's. After a few seconds it goes into high idle mod and it will not miss much when it is in high idle but it will. It also is very jumpy when in gear at ideal also when I am just moving down the street with out my foot on the gas until it worms up.

Also there is a low growl in the trans that i can feel in all gears but 5th. This growl is low and is mostly felt in my feet as i am driving.

Also i have this loud wine that changes loudness as i press the gas peddle it is a high pitch and is not the normal turbo sound.

I also have a sound that has been very before. I was going 30 miles and hour and just in normal traffic speeding up and i heard this notice that can only be described as a bark from a puppy. This happened 2 times.

All of these problems seem to go away and are not repeatable after the truck has wormed up. I have Banks installed but am on level 1 all the time.

I now that if i go to the dealer they will not find anything because it is not easy to repeat and hear if you are not use to the normal noise of a diesel. It is only when cold and i have no code flashing what do you all think and what should i do? 05 LLy 7,000 miles.

Thanks for the help

I think my truck is falling apart.

noise is hard without actually hearing it. I would see if you can come up with a way to duplicate the noise everytime, or within a mile or two and show a tech at the dealer. Unless this is something really common, you might not get any good answers here.

I agree and i have been finding some things out. One noise i am told is the turbo braking and the other noises and the missing are reapted all the time when cold. So when i get more time and have done more research i will take it in. Thanks and anyone else that may have advise please let me know.

Some of this may be due to compression loss. I have dropped about 4 miles to the gallon and i have noticed that the squeak you get when you turn off the engine witch comes from all big diesel engines (from the compression) is no longer there. It stops like a gas engine smooth and slowly not abrupt.

I thank you all for reading this post and please chime in if you have any ideas.

As soon as I can I will take it into GM tech, but I am trying to find a good one in CO that will do a good job and not complain about my gauges and knobs.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif

I do not know about there tolerance for gauges and nobs but there was a good report about Suss Ponitac GMC right there in Aurora. Somebody from here had there injectors changed there. Did the job quick and clean!
