My first thought would be to put it somewhere in the lower front console.

Me to but I'd like to put it in w/ my attitude in the upper hole or in one of the over mirror mounts but they don't look like they will fit (too small) can you get this mount w/ holes uncut or smaller. not that important of a gauge but they do need to be visable while driving. don't wan't a pillar mount. :help:

:badidea: I'm thinking about getting one of those headrest with a DVD player in it and asking Mama JJ to sit in the back seat so I can mount the WI 8 gallon holding tank, RS9000 controller and other gadgets I'm certain to buy in the passenger seat! So far all I've gotten is "the look"! :iamwithst Wonder what that means?

I'll follow this post to see what others come up with before I ask her again. ):h Hell I'll sit back there and watch movies all day if she'll drive. HHmmmm, maybe not such a bad idea after all! JJ :)

Not a good idea JJ, she might be likely to pick up a stranger to read the guages to her when she is hauling the 5'er by herself

ok, finally got a chance to install (at least halfway) my remote control kit today. i mounted the control panel under the dash and attached pics to show it. its the perfect spot in my opinion b/c there is a flat steel brace to mount to, its close enough for easy control but out of the way and doesnt take up storage room (i contemplated mounting the the overhead console or in one of the storage cubbies in the center console). i also attached the place i installed my compressor. it fits perfectly on a brace on the passenger side of the engine compartment. im not sure if anything is mounted here in a diesel. i am still figuring out how to route all the wires and tubing and where to connect power. i will post my opinions after i get it all working.

I posted my controller in the same spot. It is visible and is not in the way. I mounted my compressor under the air box as it was the only place I could find that it and the air lines would not be in the way.
I also brought the airlines up through the floor where a cable (P-brake I think) goes through the floor, then up under the dash. Everything is hidden but still accessable and out of harms way.

Sorry to take this a little off subject but, i'm just want to know if you all have gotten this kit to work? I spent hours installing the thing on my other truck and it leaked everywhere. Mostly where the 90* elbow went into the shocks. Ended up ripping everything back out (compressor, gauges/controls, lines, wiring). Good thing it was free with the shocks, because I would be very pissed if I had payed for it:mad: BTW, this was the "updated one". I hope the rest of you have good luck with yours:)

garbage can. I got rid of mine last week. they are not reliable. they leak. up in the mountains and it bottoms out for a leak is a real pain.

just my experience. I had it on for a year and I bet I have spent over 30hours fixin leaks. on the last one I finally got pissed and pulled it off. life is too short for Censored
