... with the Stage 2 Heath performance combo, which includes:

This combo utilizes our HP4 performance program along with a Turbo-Master boost controller, heavy duty fuel lift pump, HDP silicon coupler, aFe air filter, and 4" turbo back exhaust.

Factory output on "S" code egr motors is 180 hp and 360 lb ft. of torque at the flywheel.

... how much do I need to be concerned about my bone stock transmission developing problems?

Not much from what i have seen the hp4 reprograms the trans shift points too

sounds like your getting everything except gauges and the kitchen sink with that upgrade. :D but for your question the trans should be fine. not related to trans but do you have at least boost and EGT gauges? if not then i'd recommend that you get those because the HP$ and turbomaster alter the boost and fuel. you don't want to over boost or melt anything.

Air and Exhaust first... always.

Downpipe first... the 94 had a badly squished DP that really restricts exhaust egress, and limits turbo throughput, raising EGTs. Add a chip (more fuel) to that and you have issues.

Also - pull the snorkle and gut the plenum to increase airflow on the input side.

Both Air and Exhaust mods are cheap, they will make a huge difference, and they let your new stage2 kit rock 'n roll the way it's supposed to.

I don't have the gauges, but the budget is kinda tight this month. I was thinking of adding the gauges later and then the injectors down the road....

Cool, thanks! Forgot to put that I had the crossover as part of the initial order plan...

Now, to research the snorkle and plenum mods...

And now, looking at the latest buget numbers, I may hold off on the Stage 2 for a month, get the pillar gauge set-up and the PMD isolater and the crossover pipe now and get the rig back on the road. Save up a little longer, then get the Stage 2 from Heath.

If I could just learn to spend the same dollar twice, I'd be so much better off.

that is not a true 4" back though, it is a 3" down pipe and then a 4" after Dp.

I think what everybody is saying is get the bigger exhaust first, 3" DP to 4" exhaust as the most common one. Before putting Heath's chip and Turbo Master. X-over is not necessary for that.

It makes sense to get a bigger exhaust first since your stock exhaust is not only small in diameter but also pinch wherever GM wants to pinch it.

Of course, your truck may have been modified.
