I heard of 2 inch torsion key lifts and would like to put one on my truck. Who makes them and which are the best. Easy to install? and are the hard on the front end.

Thanks

Yes, search "green keys" or "leveling kit". I'm not to partial to them, and yes you do sacrifice ride quality. I've used them, but it's a bandaid more than a fix. The keys can be a pain (and dangerous) to change, especially without the proper knowledge and correct tool. But, if ride is no biggie, you don't mind premature wear on ball joints, and a little extra height is all you want, go for it. They cost anywhere form $75-200 depending on brand. And yes, they all do the same thing. $200 ones are no better than the rest.

I agree you should really do some research on here before you install just keys. I have green keys and 305/50/20s on my truck and it rides like CRAP! Which that wasn't a big deal to me really until last week I had to take the truck in to get it fixed because the right front shock tore completely loose from the A-Arm and the left front shock was about to do the same. It also tore some other parts on the front suspension up that all would have been expensive to fix if I didn't have a great dealership that warrantied it for me. My truck has never been offroad or anything. The torn up suspension was from regular highway and city driving. Just check it out before you opt to only do keys because I know it cheaper to do know but might end up costing you quite a bit later. Just my .02.

Check the Nor-Cal website in the vendors section. Look for the Cognito Leveling kit. The web site gives info and great pictures on what a "green key" kits actually do and thier short commings. You can research this site for days and you"ll find that most feel that the Cognito Leveling kit is the best. You pay for it though, it is much more expensive, but you get what you pay for. You may be able to get the lift you want with your stock keys and longer shocks or shock extenders.

I agree 100%! I just ordered my Leveling Kit from Nick @ Nor-Cal and can't wait to get it installed.

I just bought a set of Cognito uniball UCAs and dual shock hoop and then bilsteins all around. It'll give me the little extra height I need for right now and the front end is already part way there when I decide to lift the truck.

I mean it's up to you but I put on a ready lift leveling kit, got an alignment, and they stayed on my truck for about a month until I just couldn't take it anymore. It was the worst thing I ever did to my truck.
I highly suggest you stay away from these things......
