On my driver side tail light, my running light is not working. My turn signals are working fine, my backup lights are fine, and my brake lights are working fine. I do not know what is wrong with the lights, passenger side is working properly everything is fine there. Please help have rain coming this afternoon and have been warned by the local police about getting it fixed already. I might otherwise have to bite the bullet and go to the dealer.-:t

I have already changed bulbs and checked fuses.

did you check the socket itself for power. the wire may be broken in the socket itself. check the contacts where the socket and bulb meet, or try a different bulb altogether. I spend alot hours chasing the stupid little things.

The wire in question will be brown. Check the socket with a test lamp and ensure 12v exists there. If not, follow the wire group down to frame junction block and test there. From there forward is good, otherwise the other side would be out.
In this order, I suspect you'll find the problem:
1. abraded wire to lamp
2. cut and failed spliced for redneck trailer wiring
3. bad lamp socket
4. corroded harness connector at the frame
5. wrong bulb
The fuse for left and right park is shared, so no sense checking fuses.
