Most people have read my conversion I plan to perform on my truck. I had some spare time yesterday. So I did some testing with my G-force meter. I mesured the 0-60 times on the truck. It's consistant 11.5 second runs. How much longer will my 0-60 times be with the turbo'ed 6.2?

True. I just wondered what times a turbo runs stock.

The 4.3 v6 with +270K miles on it I bet doesn't even have 120hp now days.

You mean shorter right? You should be able to squeeze in under 10, 9 if your lucky.

Ahh so I shouldn't loose too much then. I was just concerned with the times I have to merge onto the interstate at 70+

You might want to check over at The Diesel Page, Doc Lee has a very hot 6.2, favorite phrase is "We Don Need No Steenkeeng Turbo", but if you are wanting to pull something with that 6.2 better add the turbo. How much turbo you need is up to you, pull out 6.2 and stuff in a Cummins, you can make a low 10 sec 1/4 miler.

All things being equal Doc Lee's truck doesn't weigh very much, 2wd, shortwheel base, probably only about 4200 lbs about the same as my modified CJ7. Put his engine into my 7800 lb Suburban and the need for a stiiinnnnkkkin turbo would be realized!):h
