Hey guys ,

Checked everything around the fuel filter and i have no air leaks, but it still won't start after 8 hrs ??

Also when I re-prime the filter should i be letting all the air out of the line or will there be any ?

i am assuming you changed the fuel filter and primed the system. When you re prime, open the bleed screw and keep pumping until you get fuel out. close down the bleed screw and pump a couple more times until it gets firm. start the truck and let it idle.

you may need to do this a couple of times until it maintains prime. if after you do this a couple of times and it doesn not work, then you still have air and I would check the o ring on top of the filter.

Hey what o-ring are you guys talking about ??

I have heard it might be my injectors but i also hear it takes weeks to get them done and i use the truck for work so not really a good option!!

Thanks for any help you guys can give me !!

There are (2) O-rings that come with the filter, top and bottom. The top one can be tricky at times to make sure that it is seated in the groove. Hope this helps.

When you prime, you are pumping the air out until its all gone and fuuel is being pumped(sucked) out of the tank to the filter. When fuel comes outthe bleeder screw hole, the filter is full, close the bleed valve screw and start her up. If you had that filter off you may have dropped the upper O ring and not noticed it.

THis past weekend mine woudln't start either even after a prime check on the filter. Finally, I started cranking it over, and held it to the floor and started right up. Took it to the dealer and no word yet. I also told them of 'slugginsh performance and poor mileage" guess it's time for injectors.
