Looking for anyone who has run their Dmax around a track... and not the straight kind :D

Stock they arent that great.... but with a good 3/5 lowering stance or so, cranked down tbars, a wide grippy tire, swaybars, built trans/good power, extra cooling, etc, I think they would hold their own.

So anyone done it?

They already do with the Craftsman Truck Series, but not with high performance diesel motors.

I've canyon raced mine through Little Tujunga Canyon.

This canyon has alot of tight turns. In Tow/haul and third gear, the Allison does a great job of slowing the truck down and keeping it in the power band.

I know they are a formidable vehicle :D

Im going to Buttonwillow with mine this Friday, April 4. Well see what happens.

Then after a tire/wheel change, and addition of water meth and swaybars, and another 3" all around lower, well see if I can improve.

Sorry about the only thing that comes close to your Chey truck in the Craftsman Truck series is the name on the race truck and possibly the engine block. Everything else is special and not avaliable on a production truck.

I prefered NASCAR back when they used cars that were almost the same as what you could get at your local dealer.

Banks has a truck, but they haven't done much with it. It has been out for a while and they have been talking like they are going to race, but that is all thay have done is talk. It is a pretty neat piece though.

The drag strip was closed one night, so I went to see what was going on at the circle track next door. They were having a shootout for street cars. I entered with my 03 dmax lifted 9''.. I actually did beat a couple ricers.. They were just very slow on the straight stretch.. It was competely dumb of me, but it was fun. The truck ran 13's in the quarter with the small tires (35's).

This would be sweet to do. A real NASCAR truck series.

haha that engine block probibly costs as much as a built duramax motor, id imagine they use those nice billett aluminum blocks in those trucks.
