Just got home from trading my Dodge on a new 2005 GMC. It is a 4x4 crew in Silver, auto with a Duramax. Truck has the cloth bench seat but it is power, what attracted me to it was the rubber floor and the rear sliding window.
Drove it off the lot with 25 miles on it put it in the driveway with 170 on it. The computer was reading 20.3 on the way home. Don't know how acurate it is but my dodge was about 1 mpg on the low side.

Do you mind if I pass it through my kidneys first? :p:
ANYHOW!!!!!
:cool2: :grd: :muahaha: :welcome2:
You'll love it.
Congratulations on the new truck.
What made you switch? Did you mod you Dodge and will you mod the DMax?
You won't be seeing 20 mpg for real I can tell you that except on the highway, light cruise.
Mileage has increased on my Dodge. Light foot around town is now 16-18 mpg.

Thanks for the welcome folks.
Hoot to answer your question no modes on either as far as the engine goes. Gonna have to do somethig about the tires will probabley put 265 or 285's on. The Dodge has a list of problems longer than a lot of people have with their 03 6.0 psd's. I looked at another Dodge but I decided that the local dealer just wasn't up to par if it also had problems. The local GMC service center is good my father has used them before. GMC has a full crew and the Allison/D-max.
You can get a good or bad truck in any it is up to the service department to keep customers. I just hope that this is a good one.

Oh yeah:
I was not expecting 20 MPG but it would be a real nice perk especially before it is broken in. My Dodge on the same stretch of hwy saw around 20 hand calculated. I go a few tanks before I really try and figure out what the milage is.
