I am in the process of putting in my exhaust system and was wondering if there is a trick to getting hangers out of the rubber gromets?

Spray them with WD-40 or PB blaster. If you dont have any, good ol' dish soap works too. Lube em up!!!!

That is what I thought...thanks for the quick responce. I will go and try now that I sprayed them up right after I wrote the question. Thought there was a trick or something.

Got the AEM 4" turbo back in and love it. Thanks for the help worked like a charm once lubed up.

damn i should have thought of that i just pull like hell

use a penetrating oil and then remove with channel lock pliers.

As diesel625 says,also as you use the channel locks,once you have pushed the hanger through as far as you can add a short socket in the rubber hanger hole to finish getting the hanger the rest of the way out with the channellocks.
