to any of you guys that are goin crazy with a front end rattle and can't find it. this is what happened to me. had a noise in the front end when ever i would go over bumps. i could feel it in the floor. because my torsion bars wee raised i check the shock bushings. replaced them. found that i needed a lwr ball joint replaced that. still there:mad:. changed both hub bearings (one was gone). noise still there:mad:.took it back to the shop. checked the torsion bars. found that the torsion bar bushing that is rivited to the frame was gone. also found that right frt brake caliper bracket was broken. so the caliper was loose and banging when ever i would go over bumps.fixed both problems and Finally NO MORE NOISE:):). hope this helps

I had a tahoe that had the TBar braket break, part from dealer wasn't that bad if i remember right.
I have a sqeal (like brake pad feelers) going down the road and only when you are barely even turning to the right, sounds like comming from drivers front. Is the loose brake pads??? what do you need to do to fix that, I've had the wheel off 2 times looking for it. pads are like 80%, not near the feelers.???

sounds identical to the probs im havin. when i pulled the wheels off the front, all the moving parts of the brake assmbly were dried out. lubed them up and it took care of some of the problem. im convinced the rest is the pads. they have cracked down the middle, and from i've been told, its letting the pad sag into the rotor just a fraction of an inch. this causes it to chirp and its reallly ****in annoying
i do have a worn out pitman/ idler and they are going to be replaced but i was told thats not whats causing the noise.

you do have to change the bracket. it's rivited to the frame rail. got grind them down and remove it.

You got a part # to what you replaced and how did you fasten it back to the frame? bolts? did they come with it?

Does anybody know the answer, What is the parts #'s for the bushing/bracket? Will the new part bolt to the frame? Is there an upgraded bushing for this location?
Thanks

Had the same thing happen on my old 02, the rivets egged out, they replaced the bracket and bolted it in place...No more noise or thumping floor board.;)
