: DAN@PPE question.
fishbreath13 03-28-2008, 02:02 PM I have your programmer listed in my sig. When I tuned the other day to lvl 6 (I know its dumb with stock trans, just had to see what its like:eek::D) and got on the truck it went like a bat out of hell. But right after that I got the change fuel filter message. Fuel filter only had 300 miles on it but I changed it anyway and tried it again, same message came on and % read 0%. Am I in need of a lift pump to run on this setting? Maybe running out of fuel and thinks filter is clogged? Or have you seen this before and is it just a program glitch? Any help is appreciated thanks. Rob:o:
fishbreath13 03-28-2008, 04:56 PM I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? If so how did you resolve it? Or if it just something to deal with its not a problem.... For the performance I got out of the PPE tuner, It is a glitch I can live with:D Rob
BudTX 03-28-2008, 05:11 PM Any codes?
fishbreath13 03-28-2008, 05:37 PM No codes, read with the PPE says no DTC. Just reset with the DIC and goes back to 100% life until I get on it really hard then comes back up with change fuel filter:rolleyes: Truck runs great with or without message.... Just wondering if its a problem?
goodwrenchtech 03-28-2008, 06:46 PM You really should have a lift pump on level 5 and 6. Level 6 will drain the rail pretty fast. I would say this is your problem. I have done what you are talking about but When the pressure starts to drop I let off.
ripmf666 03-29-2008, 05:46 AM Sounds like your running out of fuel
fishbreath13 03-29-2008, 01:35 PM Thanks guys that is what I was starting to think because it seems to fall a little flat at about 2850 RPM. Rob

PPE, EDELBROCK, TTS, KENNEDY, AIRDOG, CARTER, HOLLEY, ETC.. You have to figure out what your ultimate goal for your truck is and then do some research on what pump fits your needs the best. I personally run the AIRDOG 150 and have no complaints.
