You will not notice a thing. If yours is completely stock there are other things that will help at no cost.

1. Gut the upper intake plenum (better air flow).
2. Remove snorkel from Fender(better air flow).

Read the FAQ's and you will find loads of information that will help.

He has an "F", already done.

When I changed my PMD, I added a #9 resistor.
Even with Heath PCM + turbo master, I didn't notice any change from #5 to #9...

If you just want to change your resistor, #9 won't do any obvious improvement.
I think you should be worried more about relocating PMD outside your engine if you have not done so. If you happen buy a kit or a new PMD for this purpose, then buy the #9 resistor with it instead of the stock #5. I would not buy a #9, just for the sake of changing your resistor and put it back inside your PMD in stock location. Expecting a considerable improvement. Putting PMD outside the engine is not to improve the performance but to improve reliability. Just my thought.

i just got a pmd relocation kit to instal in the bumper since I am installing a new PMD i thought instaling the #9 at the same time would have power gain.

Power gain? Probably. Will you notice it? No.
For 20 bucks? Why not...I did.

No.

I only have one because my truck didn't have a resistor in it at all where someone replace the PMD and did not put the resistor in the new PMD.
