Monday morning, I got up and started my truck. Hit the High Idle, turned on the defrosters and let it warm up a bit. Before pulling out I checked all my mirrors, basic pretrip, ya know? That's when I noticed that my right mirror was cracked on the left side of the mirror. Being less than 3 miles from the Dealership and after 8am, I decided to drive to the dealership and report it to the service department. I got there and they said that they just received a TSB about this. So the part is enroute and will be replaced as soon as it arrives. Just wanted to let everyone know.

No kidding! My original right side mirror cracked, and now so has the replacment. Identical cracks both times, a quarter moon from the middle of the inside/left side of the mirror to the middle of the bottom.

Long out of warranty though......

Hey how about that, I had the same crack. Mine is still under warranty for 500 miles. Good thing I have my GTO now to let the warranty last a little longer, now if I could only get the snow to melt and warm temperatures to show up.

Same thing happened on my AV, I though it was something I did...

Are these with the camper mirrors, or the standard heated?

Mine are the std heated.

Happened to mine to! Crack form top to bottom on the right side mirror. The crack is about 2 inches from the left of the mirror. I thought a rock or something cracked it. I have the standard heated mirrors aswell.

2003 Tahoe..........Dealer has replaced FOUR Pass Side Mirrors.............:eek:

I dont know if this anything to do with cracks but the passenger side seems to be distorted and the dealer says that they are all like that.

Does antbody have pics of the new mirrors?

my passenger side cracked too, just bought a replacement though, it was out of warranty

am I correct in saying that you shouldn't have had to pay for that regardless of being in or out of your bumper to bumper warranty? I didn't have to pay for mine.

They're the heated mirrors...just have a big hand print on mine from the guy that installed it.
