And makes the doors lock, and some kind of chime. Rev'd to 3000 (with the engine warmed up) and the speedo starts to move. Very odd.

Anyone else see that?

The doors are probably locking because it thinks the truck is moving so the auto locks are kicking in. Try disabling the auto locks through DIC and it should solve that.

My truck doesn't do it but I have seen other vehicles of all makes do it in the past.

The tach signal is getting into the Speedo line, (poor cable seperation/shielding) feeding the Body computer. So the body computer "thinks" you are moving. Most fly by wire cars seem to have the cross over problem. The door lock thing is new to me though.

My truck is a "Kidletmobile" so I have the "doors lock automatically" at 5mph set.

It just freaks you out when you are reving and it locks you in.

Try this one. I take my truck to the car wash, when getting back in the little lock icon light stays on after i fired it up. drive it home, go to shut it off and pull the key out, but wait, the truck is still running. put key back in, turn to start, on, niether does a thing. pull the key out, truck still running, runs for about 5-10 min then shuts off. next time i start, the lock icon id off and doesn't do it agian. Only happens when I get it back from from the car wash. Sometimes instead up it staying running, it'll "diesel" like a gas engine and sputter off. Strange, still tryin to figure it out.

Off topic, but somebody on this thread mentioned going into the DIC and shutting off the automatic locks. This isn't an option on mine in the DIC. HOW THE HECK DO I MAKE THEM STOP! i really hate being locked in.....

When you are DICless, you need to do a more involved procedure to change the programmable settings. You need to read your owner's manual for details.

My truck has the same problem. I get moving (according to the speedo) 5mph at 1700rpm's while in park. If the parking brake is engaged I get a warning chime. The chime goes away when the parking brake is released. My only concern is will this cause any damage?

I witnessed the same thing as you McRat when I was playing with my high idle (resume 1750RPM). I never noticed it before, I guess because I don't usally rev my truck in park. :D
