Has anybody taken the wheels and tires off their 4500/5500 4x4 and put them on a one ton Dually?

I'm getting 22.5's for the Topkick and need new tires for the little 3500 and thought i might be able to put the 19.5's and tires from the Topkick and the 3500. i know they are both 8 lugs but do I need an adapter to make the 8 bolt patterns line up or are they the same diameter.

also..it'll be a tight squeeze. will cranked torsion bars with new keys on the 3500 make enough clearance or will it need lift (which i wont do)

X2? I know that they are a much larger size and also hub piloted. But I would alos like to know if anybody knows of an adapter to make them fit?

When i had the 19.5's off my truck for sale, many people asked me this question. I called every major adapter co i know of, and none of them currently make one for this application. Also, from what i was told, they dont seem to have any interest in making one.

for reference, gm 2500/3500 trucks are 8lug x 6.5"(165.1mm)
and the 4500/5500 trucks are 8lug x 175mm Hub piloted

From my understanding, there isnt enough difference to make the adapter with enough "meat" to be safe. If anyone has any info to dispute this, please post up.

thanks for the info. i had a feeling they wouldnt fit, otherwise i'm sure i would have seen one somewhere along the way. However, i'm not totally off to the idea, as said earlier, if anybody has any knowlege of this happening and how please let us know.

Thanks!

How much weight are you pulling? I have 22.5's and 295's(40" tires) on mine, and it still pulls like a raped ape. Sounds like you need a couple HP mods
