"Bonus Features:
In addition to all of the parameters that can be displayed, diesel owners can purchase a thermocouple probe that connects to an additional sensor port on the OBDII connection and display EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature). Or the same connection can be used to input a wideband 02 sensor. And for owners of new diesels with diesel particulate filter (DPF) traps, the Insight displays DPF regeneration status."
Is this to say that you do not have to drill/tap the Exhaust manifold to read EGT's? The picture shows a thermocouple probe with threads on it, but the info reads it plugs in to the OBDII connection. Anyone know the answer to how it actually works??
