Noticing my tranny shifts a little hard from 1st to 2nd when i first start driving. After 2-3 stop and go's it starts shifting smoothe again. Should i be concerned or am i being to picky?

You posted this in Allison Aftermarket.. Is you trans built? If so what is it? I checked your garage but-nothing in there as well to see if it is...

Watch your temp guage. As the trans starts shifting smooth, you will notice that your temp guage has moved up. This is the nature of the beast, it was designed this way. You may also notice that it revs a little higher before it shifts, this is so the engine will get up to operating temps quicker.

x2. Your tranny shifts later to work your torque converter harder. More TC slip==more heat==heat faster==better engine efficiency faster.

There is nothing wrong and it's working as designed.
