This is my 04.5 lly D max with about 10k miles. I am averaging about 15-16 mpg going about 75-80 mpg. I have edge w/ *** and 265/75 16. I love the truck but i can't stand this damn knocking it makes when it seems to go down hill or when you back off the accelerator but goes away when i give it more throttle. It doesn't make any other knocking other than that. It seems to stop it a bit when it is stock but it is still there. I seem to notice it more after the reflash but it has seem to be there since day one. I am getting about 12-13 when pulling my boat which i about 3k going 75-80. Any tips on how to setup the Attitude? I have it on the lowest fuel setting something about less smoke. I don't notice any MPG gain over stock with this thing by running it on level 1. One last Q do you supposed to wate till the oil life says 0% on the DIC to change it?

Ohya one thing i did notice is that the Edge seemed to bring my DIC close to accurate within about .5 gal in one tank.

Do you think a mbrp 4" exhaust and afe stage 2 proguard7 will help fuel milage?

Thanks Guys - Canoli

Ohya for all the smart asses I can't spell for **** that is why I am a salesman not an english teacher.

Can't help with your more important question, but I have been looking at mods for my truck and have been doing some searches on this board. You could try some searches on "AFE" and read about what some others have said in the past. Good intake but does not offer much (power, mileage) over stock and the OEM filter does a good job at filtration.

My feelings on the DIC oil change is that it is a worse case indicator. You don't have to wait until its zero, so I don't:)

I can't help with the knocking as I'm not really sure what you are describing. Mine doesn't do it, but I don't have as many miles as you, only about 7600. As for the oil change, I would decide based on how confident you are in your oil. I put in the Plus 50 John Deere oil we use in the tractors that they say will go 1/2 again as many hours as normal, so I plan to run mine past when the indicator comes on and try about 10000. Unless I get bored or the oil looks pretty crappy when I check it. It really depends on your oil and how you use it. Lots of guys still change it at 5000 or less. If you search there was a poll on when people change there oil.

However I thought I would post to ask if those American Racing Atlas wheels? They look good got any side shots or closeups?

Ok...try this....put your juice on level 5 and low boost fuel on 5 and see what happens. I assume the tranny is stock so go easy and see if it resolves the knocking. If the the level 5 low boost fuel helps try setting the juice on level 3 with the low boost set as previously stated...see what happens. When did you get your re-flash? As far as I know the most current flash was available mid sept. 04. The next step is to get your injector balance rates checked. Keep us posted I will try to help as best I can. Also, maybe contact edge. My edge definitely sounds different on lvl1 low boost 1 as opposed to low boost 5 lvl3. The front pipe back mbrp system really helps egts...I would leave the stock air box alone.
