New to the diesel place and a rookie owner (11 months) and just wanted to say thanks... I own a 97 and have had the PMD problems but the "special" warrenty took care of the problem this time, was watching the diesel doctor page and was getting tired of "steaksauces" generic come back for everyones 6.5 problem they posted some other sites to look at during one of their cat fights and I must say I like this site. I was going to get his A1 PMD next time mine went, but not any more. THANKS.

As soon as money permits I want it to work on performance, I know the "issues" I just want a little smoke and whistle.

Plan to get rid of converter and getting the 3inch downpipe, does any one just sell the downpipe cause I am seriously considering a stack out the bed?

Flowmaster is the best and cheapest place to get upgraded downpipe and crossover (#17220 I think is their part number). Stacks out of the bed...sweet ;)

Try Summit Racing. They sell a Flow Master downpipe and crossover as a kit for only $104. The item is on back order though. I know, because I just ordered mine today, and it won't ship until 2/16.

Howdy CJK & welcome to the site, nothing wrong with being new to Diesels wasn't so long ago I was a 6.5 neophite myself, be suprised how well the 6.5 responds to a little TLC, really does not deserve the bad rep IMO it has gotten, you just need to understand and plan for it's limitations, add some mods in conservative way and you will be a happy camper at the end of the day.
