Well I got my Turbo Master installed, I got my vacuum pump un-installed and I'm happy so far with the results. The vacuum pump on my truck was on it's last leg and I was running on borrowed time, so I'm glad to get some peace of mind now that it is a simple mechanical matter.

I can't really tell if there is much more power off the line, or overall, I have 3.21 gears in my 10.5 14 bolt now (Yes, they are GM factory gears thanks to the early 80s fuel crisis). I do have factory computer programing, and I don't think I will ever go for the computer mods since this is my drive to work truck.

One question I do have is when I installed the Turbo master, the new shaft only has about 3/4" of travel before the arm hits the turbo housing. Is this normal? I don't think I botched the install since the instructions were very well written and easy to follow.

I'm happy with mine, those of you who have this kit, how do you like it? Does your arm do the same thing as mine?

The lever dosen't travel much, the "flapper" inside dumps pretty quickly on very little opening. Sounds normal to me. I made mine, it travels roughly the same amount as yours.

Normal, I thought the same thing when I installed mine and I called Heath. The arm doesn't travel that far. Your good to go.

I just installed heath's turbo-master on Saturday, I am really happy with it! Much more responsive boost, lowered my EGT about 100 degrees, and easy to install. I still haven't installed my HP4, I'm looking forward to the combination. I set it to 12 with the factory ECM, not sure if I want to go higher with the HP4 as 15psi is recommended.

As long as you don't exceed 12psi, you shouldn't trip a code.

That is a damn good pic. Should post that in the sticky. If I had seen that first I might have tried building one instead of buying it.

You'll need gauge(s) first, if you build your own.

I love my TurboMaster, glad to hear that you got your vac problems out of the way completely :), I still need to get a Vin 'F' intake so I can completely elimate my vac pump as well.

My TM is pretty color :p

Yeah she's a bit oily, the oil on the turbo from when I took off the turbo for installation of the pyrometer probe(as you can see at the bottom), the oil below the turbo is from when I started the truck without the turbo to blow out shavings from drilling and tapping the manifold, without adequately plugging the turbo oil supply:gr_grin:. Luckily it missed the top of the open exhaust manifold:cool:, that would have been bad.
