I just got EFILive and have been playing around with it a little. i wanted to clear the codes from the missing DPF so i went to the tune library and tried to upload a tune for an 08 lmm but it came up with an error as i was attempting to flash it in. Apparently that tune is for a different operating system.
I then uploaded a differnt one for a 2007.5 and that worked fine.
My question is- How can i make a tune with a different OS work with my OS?
oh and one more question if i want to flash a different tune in, do i need to return my ecu back to stock then put the new one in, or can i simply flash over the "upgraded" tune that i already have in?

You can flash over existing tunes... I'll let someone else answer the other question

As for changing OSes, you can't on the LBZ/LMM yet. Might happen down the road after Ross & Paul get full read/flash figured out. Now, if you want to take a modified LMM tune from one OS ant "port" it to another OS, you can make a script (using the stocktune for that OS and the modified tune), then apply the script to your stock tune.

Like Cougar said; you can't change OS's on LBZ/LMM at this point of time. Scripting is the best option - determine the differences and make changes to your stock tune. You'll find instructions here: http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=194677.

I was just talking about the tunes for the LMM's only. It looks like the 2007.5's and the 2008s have different OS's. I'll start playing around with the scripting thing. thanks guys
