Engine runs fine than out of blue, starts running like a 4 cyl. engine light comes on and no power. Shut engine down, than started up and was fine, engine light still on. Has done this twice in last month. Engine light went off last time but now is still on. Any ideas, wiring harness or what???

Wiring harness and/or #2 & #7 injector connectors. There's probably everything you need in the DIY section for harness repair or the "ice pick" trick on the connectors. If under warrantee, take it in. It's well known.

Just owned for 2 months now, 2004 lly engine has 84,000 km don't know what kind of warranty would be on it if any. Some one said up to 160k but not sure will have to look into it.

My money is on #2 or#7 connector failure. Pull the codes and I bet you'll find an 0202 or 0207.

Good luck

Engine should have a 160,000 KM (100,000 Mile) engine and emissions warranty. Dealer should fix with no deductible. If dealer stalls suggest they check TSB's for #2 harness fix.
Being a second owner there is a remote change the first owner did something to have it "red flagged". Dealer would be quick to tell you when you ask for warranty work.
Search on this form for all kinds of info on injector harness and injector wiring problems on the LLY engines. Not a problem for all but aggravating for a few.

100,000 warranty on the motor

X2... and, BTW, there's a $100 deductible, and it's automatically transferred. Good luck!
