I was underneath my truck greasing it today and noticed my front diff Leaking, Its defintley gear oil slowly oozing out of the case. anyone else have this problem? i want to understand the prob before i have the dealer fix it. ( also noticed mt darn tranny line leaking!:mad:) This will teach me to grease my truck again!!:D

Is it leaking out of the left (drivers) side of the diff? could be an axle seal.

Good thought :)but the drip is right on the bottom center of the case split.

I vote you fix it with JB Weld!
Seriously...no idea on this one. I checked around online and didn't find much. Hoping it's not an expensive fix.

Sounds like you need the case halfs resealed, done lots of them here...

just tighten up the bolts on diff, i had to take mine apart and silcone it and put it back together there easy to take apart its just sucks getting it out of the truck by yourself
my bolts kept backing out on me so i put some blue thread locker on the bolts

i have seen this problem before we just seperate and reseal and make sure the breather isnt clogged

so what if your axle seal is leaking? is that a fairly straightforward fix or do i need to visit the mechanic?

Dont think so Kevin,
The dealer cleaned the front diff and applied a " new" Gm sealent, no leaks ever since.
