2001 LB7 just had injectors replaced at dealer under warranty. Was fine for three weeks. Went on 60 mile trip half way there set SES light and went into limp mode. Used a buddys programmer to pull the DTC and got p0093. Looked it up and found it to be large fuel leak. No fuel in oil, no fuel on the ground, and no sign of leak anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check into your fuel filter, might be clogging up

i am having the same exact issue on my 01 lb7....i am thinking that it is air getting into the fuel system....i changed the filter, bleeder screw, wif sensor and the two hoses that come off of the filter because alot of people say some of these items can get cracked or dry rotted and allow air into the system since it is a vacuum type...i still have the issue but it seems to be a little less noticeable....if i keep the truck at or under 65 on the highway the issue never occurs but if i go over that mph the ses light will come on after about 40 miles...i was told there is one more small rubber hose that could be the culprit up towards the front on the motor...i'm going to try and find that this weekend.......the limp mode can be reset by turning the key off and on but sometimes you may have to go out and bleed the fuel filter to straighten it out.....also, i had to tow a pretty heavy tractor last week and the ses light came on almost immediately i guess because the truck was really under a load and sucking more air.....a friend also said if i put lift pumps on the truck the issue should go away because it will then be a pressurized system but i would like to find the culprit first....

Those with 01's if you've never had your fuel rail sensor replaced it could very well be the culprit. They have been known to be bad. Most just let go and spew fuel all over the under carriage.

Keeping in mind that you have a fresh fuel filter.

Just got it back from the dealer, said it was a bad fuel filter and the code is a 'soft' code and should not harm anything. Going to look into the fuel rail sensor and check all the rubber hoses and clamps. I appreciate all the suggestions so far!!!

I've had the same problem w/ my '01. Dealer replaced the filter, no help; replaced the fuel pressure regulator, no help; replaced the injectors and it worked fine for about 3,000 miles but now it is back. Always happens when I'm climbing a hill at greater than ~1800rpm or so, even without a load in the back.

Another post mentioned a possible ECM probem with 2001's. It mentioned that the dealer could reflash the ECM and fix it. Anybody else hear of that?

Thanks,

Ben
