I know this is something that has probably been talked about several times but I am thinking of putting a set of 285 BFG A/T on my truck and I was wondering if most of you guys were able to get them on with out really having to do anything to your truck. I have heard about cranking the torsion bars and cutting a lil on the air dam. I am curious about this because if anything is needed i will need to do it before I go get the tires put on.

do a search here, lots of into. in a nutshell, crank the tbars a little, trim the bumper/airdam, and tie up the e brake cable. assume you are looking at aftermarket wheels. folks have put 285s on the stock 6.5" wide wheels but I wouldn't do it. go for a max of 4.5" backspacing.
