Wire the fass pump to a switch and run it till you see clear fluid out of the bleeder port. CLOSE bleeder port and pump the primer till hard this should push any slug of air through between stock filter and CP3.

If you don't get fuel at the bleeder port with the fass on then you might have it plumbed incorrectly. Also if you didn't know you cannot start/run the truck with the bleeder port open. It's not like the old 6.5 diesels.

I don't care for any lift pump setup that doesn't have a prime over ride switch installed. My buddy in his Dodge has a Fass and he changed the filters, didn't re-fill put them in dry. He ran his batteries dead priming.

I had to give him a jump and I HAD to prime it for him,he was lost. :D

i did fill both filters and ran the pump until straight fuel out of my stock bleeder tighten the bleeder screw try to start vehicle it wont.look at fuel at bleeder again all aired up and the filters at the air dog are empty just a little on the bottom?sounds to me the line tank to pump may be letting in air or pump is bad?i have to finish a couple of jobs before i start on it.dam it

okay on a somewhat good note im getting a new airdog sent to me and we will see what happens.fleetgaurd changed filter designs without airdog knowing that causes the filter to bottom out on the pump before the seal makes good contact creating a air leak.they are correcting the problem already.so we will see if the new one works and i will post it.also they are coming out with updated quick connect fittings also mine did not fit also:(.and i made a suggestion to them they need to include a plug for the fuel line left open when you install there pick up in the tank they made a note of it.trucks been down seince friday and im in a rental:mad:.hopfully the new pump comes in tommorrow and its all better:).

okay i got the new pump wed.i installed it bled the air from the stock filter truck fired right up i dont know exactly what was going on with the pump but they(air dog)made good of it.only thing still disappointing is they dont give you the correct quik connect fittings for the fuel line.mark told me they had them i thought he would send me one but did not:(.so i cut mine a 1/8 inch and i t fit great just need to make sure the sharp edges are gone or it will cut the seal:cool:.other than that i think its a great product there cust service is great.the kit just needs some little adjustments and it would be alot better install.had my low fuel light on and it ran great i thought it might starve for fuel that low it did not.
now i will see if the mpg gets better.
