I just got a 90 gallon transfer tank used. The previous owner used it for red off-road fuel for a bobcat. I would like to use it to extend the range of my truck for long trips. How can I get the red dye fuel out and get it clear to use for on-road fuel?

I would think just slosh a gallon of mineral spirits or kerosene around in there and then drain it out.

One FULL tank run through it will take care of any residue.

That is what I thought...my buddy was scared because he heard that even minute amounts of the dye were detectable.
With diesel at $4 a gallon in NJ, but almost $4.50 across any boarder I want to be able to bring 100 gallons with me if I leave the state!
