I would like to buy one of these ,looks great ,if someone else puts fuel in my truck theres no questiion its diesel. Does anyone know where i could buy one of these, green cap, no lock. thanks bill

My 2008 has this... you could walk into a a GM dealer and pay too much for the part.... I am sure there are online resources to buy this as well.

I'm pretty sure they first showed up on the 2007 Classics.

Here's mine...

While it's not green, my locking cap was only around $14 shipped to my door from Delphi.

Where'd you order your locking cap?

AC-Direct. Cost was $8.64 plus $6 for shipping. That was in March of 06 so price may have changed. Part Number is 15070014.

Better yet - For $20.00 you can buy & install a product that prevents a gas nozzle to be inserted at all, only the larger diameter diesel nozzles. Check it out at DieselProtector.com.

I like that nozzle protector deal, but a lot of pump nozzles that pump diesel aren't the big oversized truck stop style ones. Also, how do you remove the protector deal if need be?

DieselProtector.com.
I just purchased one of those. I'm not worried about me, but if my wife ever had to fill up my truck I would be worried about her grabbing the wrong nozzle.

It will accept the big nozzle or the smaller diesel nozzle. Pretty nice little invention, especially if the old woman ever fills up the truck ;)

I don't need to worry about it because I am the only on that fuels my truck not to mention it costs a $132 to fill. I don't know anybody that generous
