i am looking to find a water sensor for my 1990 gmc 6.2 diesel 1/2 ton pickup.hopefully buy online?this is the sensor that is in the fuel fillter{m-80} fillter is the one i have,im getting the water in fuel lite coming on and saying on,i have new fillter,drain the fillter and have purgue the tank with compressed air,fact did it 3 time did get some water but i don't think its very much,i have call every one and there brother ,still no luck. even a part number may help out.

Find a stanadyne dealer, they made the fuel filters and should be able to get you the sensor.;) :grd:

Have you tried cleaning the sensor could it be gunked up with sludge making contact across the probe tip, I've never seen a 6.2s probe myself but have had something similar on jet engine WIF & chip sensors
