When I changed out my PMD I kept one of the two old ones I had, because it would start and run for ten minutes, which is far better than nothing. So, was at a garage the other day when the mechanic says he's got a 6.5 bus out back he can't get running, hasn't run for months. He's going on and on about fuel pressure, injector pump, all these things he's thinking about may be wrong. (fortunately he didn't say "no spark") I asked him if it cranked and he said yes, cranks, no start. So I took out my spare backup PMD from the glovebox, unplugged the old one and plugged mine in, old bus fired right up. So he ordered a new one and mine went back in the glovebox.
Pretty cool, the things you learn on Dieselplace!
