What is the proper procedure to jump a diesel if the batteries die? Not sure what to do with dual batteries and all.

"Batteries in our Diesel are in parallel so it doesn't really matter what you do to jump the engine. I would just connect the jumpers to the red power block and the ground tab rather than to a battery, but either battery would be fine too."

Where is the red power block and ground tab?

I have actually tried to jump start my Duramax with both my Toyota Camry and with my battery charger in "Start Mode". Neither one worked. Not enough jam.

The only thing that did work was the battery charger for a few hours.

Has anyone successfully jump started a Duramax ? Using what ?Edited by: Diesel Dad

I had to jump mine a few weeks ago. I used my neighbors Suburban, and it worked fine.

I have tried to jump others with my truck on ocassion. I tried to use the terminal block thing, and the ground tab. No luck, I guess I just can't get good contact there with the cables.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif Worked fine directly off the battery though.
