I just bought a 03 truck with 113,000 miles. The guy that i bought it from said that it had some kind of program on it but was not sure what it was. I was wanting to just set it back to stock and put PPE on it. The dealer said that he couldnt set it back to stock. I know that you can. Any suggestions?

Find someone with EFI Live and reprogram the Ecm.

After dealing with Hypertech issues, I know the dealer can reinstall the stock ECM. Someone ought to contact the factory and force dealers to get someone intelligent in their service shops. The various degrees of knowledge or stupidity is amazing considering they are "factory" trained and have cool little certificates hanging on their walls.

Just call the dealer and tell them you need an ECM Re-Flash, they may want to charge you about 100 bucks.

Better yet, just buy a new ECM......start from scratch, but the dealer could just reflash the ecm completely, there are some risks involved

Just ask the dealer to recal you ecm and it should be fine, i have had a few that have had a non factory cal and the ecm locked up, when that happens the truck is doen til a new ecm is installed...

go to a DIFFERENT dealer and ask for the ecm re-flash.
