: Crazy blinkers, no wonder no one uses em anymore
jmg343 01-28-2005, 08:42 PM First time I thought I was going nuts. Happened again today. During a semi-hard):h acceleration from a stop light I signaled that I was transfering into the right lane. Both blinkers came on, like as if I had put on my hazards. Shut it off, turned it on again, and again, both blinkers. Once I returned to normal cruising RPMs blinker worked normally again. I also did turn on the hazards after they both came on. Tried turning on the left hand blinker and that one worked as it should. Why the heck is this happening? I dont wanna be making a right one day at a busy intersection and have my hazards come on instead of my blinker. Then again the majority of the people on the roads today are morons anyhow and dont even use their blinkers when they are working properly. I for one vote to execute these people.
I had my hazards come on the same way. Eventually they would just stay on even if the truck was off. I pulled out the fuse and let it sit over night, put the fuse in the next morning and it was fine.

It could be the 'semi-hard acceleration' maybe a little bit toooooo hard and your out accelerating the electrons and they are accumulating in the rear of your truck ):h
Maybe time for a stealer visit.
Max Power 01-29-2005, 10:32 AM I think you are not pushing the turn signal lever quite far enough. Try it in your driveway, push it down as lightly as you can until something happens, I think you will see the same result.
partsguy662 01-29-2005, 10:33 AM Sounds to me like your truck wants a new turn signal switch/assembly...
jmg343 01-29-2005, 02:49 PM sorry max power, no dice...thinks me parts guy is right
DEWFPO 01-29-2005, 03:06 PM This is probably not the cause in your case, but some of the 'upscale' autos (you know the ones..... that assist you in braking hard. I think they call it 'brake assist'), will actually put your hazard blinkers on momentarily when you jam on the brakes to warn that your braking very hard.

EricM 01-29-2005, 09:07 PM I've had the "both blinkers" syndrome on my 05 a few times. I even startled a state trooper one day when he thought I was about to change lanes into the side of his car. I've seen other posts on it here too so I suppose it is a common problem. Flicking the 4 way switch on and off sometimes clears it up... other times turning the wheel lock to lock (once with the turn signal switch on in each direction) clears it up.

Mine would do it even when the truck is off. I would hit the hazard switch and they would turn off for a few seconds then come back on. I could hear a fizzle under the dash every time they kicked back on.
oteo125 01-31-2005, 01:40 PM thats a good one dmax tim. i laughed half the night.
Cobra#3747 01-31-2005, 06:06 PM I have had 2 05's off the truck with a bad flasher/relay assembly. These would just sit there with no key, flash the hazzards radomly.
illegalusername 02-12-2005, 06:22 PM I started having the same problem left blinker flashing like hazards, the problem was the factory tow hitch option, there is a connection just behind the spare tire behind the bumper, dissconected plug and spread prongs to make better contact, works great.
If you're running Juice, could be a warning.....
