My buddy and I are trying to figure out which is better. He has the Edge w/attitude on the truck. Its lifted on 37's if that matters. What is better 4" or 5"? What are the positives and negatives? Both will be straight exhaust, no muffler. Also he wanted stainless but we cant find it for 5"...Were in Wisconsin and the truck gets driven a little in the winter..Will aluminized rust that fast? Thanks alot

you really dont need 5 in unless you are going to be over 500 hp. that being said 5 in looks and sounds the coolest. you dont have to worry abour back pressure with a turbo charged motor.

I have 5" aluminized and live in Utah where we use plenty of salt and have had no problems and I love the sound.

4" or 5" will give you the same performance gain and EGT drop. 5" is for looks and sound. That being said, if you want it LOUD, go with the 5" setup. The MBRP aluminized will hold up, dont worry. They come with a 3 year warranty, but we have customers beyond that in the northern region with zero issues at all.

How much of a difference in sound will there be? I mean the muffler is basically the equiv. of a glass pack on a gas motor..just 3 times the size haha..I think it will stay for now..Hes thinking about gettin a tranny for it some time then well go from there. ill talk him into EFIlive and then well see about the straight pipe
