I heading out on a long trip 1500 miles pulling a fairly empty stock trailer. Is there any diesel fuel additives I should be using. As of yet, I really don't add any additives, but I will start.

Thanks,
Greg

Everybody has their own opinion on which additive use, but here is a link that will help you choose. I myself use Stanadyne in every tank of fuel.

I think the big question is are you driving from a warm climate to a cold one? I learned the hard way that fuel brought 500 miles north may gell.

No need for any of the "additives" in my opinion. If extra lubricity is a concern, regular 2 cycle oil had better properties than Howes, Stanadyne, and the other expensive choices out there. As a matter of fact, good old 2% Bio diesel is the BEST lube for the motor.

Its all a waste of $$$$$

And Marvel Mystery Oil, actually increases wear. LOL

Probably don't need it. In most cases you don't need fuel additived. I simply use one for a piece of mind.

Assuming you can find it on the way. It is still rather scarce.
