I've been skimming through the pages and noticed that a lot you are referring to the 6.5 as just that and not a Duramax. Isn't the 6.5 considered a Duramax?

Nope the 6.5 was the big brother to the 6.2 the GM started building in the early 80's. It is only related to the D-Max by marriage.

So I shouldn't have anything on my '95 6.5 that say "Duramax"?

Nope not unless some drop a D-max in there for you over night. IF they did you should good find that person and thank them.

The DMax is a 6.6L.
