I have a friend who has a 2000 Dodge Cummins 24 valve ext cab 4wd long box who is looking to do some upgrades to get up around 600-650 RWHP… What are his best options and what kind of money is he looking at spending.

Who builds the best Transmission & converter “or has a good reputation”? Performance box? Lift pump or what fuel upgrades will we need to do? Which injectors, and turbo work well together without going to a twin turbo set up?
He’s looking at the TST Comp or the Edge Comp. One of the Pier B1 turbos. He was also looking at a transmission that is sold on the TS performance web site.

I am just trying to get some information to help make the process go a little easier.

Thanks,
Jon

I WAS GOING TO SAY THE SAME DAM THING, holly crap how much!!!

duramax, exhaust 500$, high hp single chip 1000$, tranny 3000$, nitrous 500$

all in one line):h and making your 650hp for 5k, but then if you trade to a max, ouch

It can be done with nitrous on a Dodge as well. A set of Mach 4's or bigger, a decent single turbo, a edge drag comp, a pusher pump, exhaust, nitrous, and a tranny. Many people have been in the 700hp range with ample injector size.

You can also do it on fuel only with Mach 6's or larger and twins. I've done as high as 648hp uncorrected and 700.1hp corrected on #2 with Mach 7's.

Its highly possible without the twins or cam. But the cam and twins would definitely improve driveability. It would do everything well. Joe D hit 766 uncorrected on #2 with a single turbo. Throw some nitrous on the above setup and expect high 7s or in the 800s uncorrected.

How many people running billet pistons?

P.S. Dtt makes cheaper tranny upgrades but that one is made specifically for going balls to the wall. 1200lb ft of torque does things to autos. Yeah I figures out what you were talking about soon as I pondered it a second.

How many people running billet pistons? Truth be told didnt know any were even made.
