It went more smoothly than i thought it would. I would recomend to remove the passenger side tire and inner fender. It made everything so much easier to get to on that side. I also removed the turbo and found the compressor wheel to still be tight and in good shape. You can see in the pictures once the turbo and heat shields are out of the way the injectors are very easy to get to. My old injectors had been in there for 107,000 miles. I had no trouble getting them out. I used a breaker bar to break them loose. Also used a 30mm impact socket and had no toruble squeezing it in. Once they were out i noticed some soot or some kind of dust at the bottom of the injector holes were the threads stopped in the head (from removing old injectors). I used my shop vac to suck it out, that worked great. I did not use anti-sieze on the threads of the new injectors, only a dab to hold the copper washers on. I had no trouble with my old injectors coming out and i've heard some say on here not to use never sieze. I was able to get my torque wrench on all 8 injectors to torque them down properly. The drivers side was faster. I got the glow plug wires and onther harness up out of the way and it took no time at all. you can also see that the intake did not have a whole lot of oil in it so i would guess the turbo seals are still in good shape as well. I didn't take to many pics as others have excellent write-ups already. I just wanted to show and reccomend going the longer route and removing the fender and turbo, especially for those who have never done it before. I feel i can do a cleaner job that way compared to not removing anymore than one absolutey needs to. I'd be knocking dirt and dust in everything and porbably cause more problems. The whole job took 6 hours from start to finish, taking my time. I had to crank it over twice and it fired on the second time. ( i did put new injectors in in sets of 2, the lines moved easier together) didn't sound to bad but once i found that there were no leaks it drove it a while. it does sound a little different now. My old injectors weren't really in bad shape, its just with more than 100,000 miles on them and the busy season for me coming up, i thought it would be a good time to change them. Glad i did, good learning expereince
