got a bunch of bar and chain oil layin around. any opinions if it would be ok for a lubricant to add in fuel? thanks!

Better off selling the bar and chain oil and buying fuel, even fuel at 4 bucks a gallon its still cheaper then bar and chain oil. But since I hear of people running used motor oil in there d-maxes I suppose bar and chain oil would probably work fine also, In your truck of course!!

I hope your joking:eek:..........maybe some 2-cycle oil would be good, but not bar-oil!! We're not trying to saw through logs with our trucks man:D.

Bar oil is designed to STICK to the metal parts of the bar and chain to prevent it from flinging off at chainsaw speeds. I am sure the base oil is a poor quality since it is not designed to be combusted. There are other additives in bar oil for various purposes. I would never think to mix it with fuel. SPICER
