Hey folks ! ,

My 04 HD is just about done being repaired (442 miles on it !!! :() and the body shop has offered to remove my door trim and all of the decals before I pick it up ...I kind of like the idea.

The only ? i have is how would it look with just the black plastic wheel flairs & Factory mud flaps which I want to keep for protection purposes...

Anyone have pic's of there black HD EXT CAB WITHOUT THE TRIM & DECALS that could post so I could get an idea of the look ????

I think it would look good with the H2 wheels I am planning to put on ..

i have a blue truck with out the trim and decals. it looks good in my opinion. i just took off the factory flares witch were black for reasons i don't know and it looks even better.

It will look great! Tell the dealership you want the money back for the trim and stickers etc. etc. see what they say.

Getting the refund for the trim would be great except , they (the dealer) dont know about it (the truck) being damaged ...Just in case the truck doesn't drive right , I was going to trade it off for a new one right away ..

have a black 4 door on 285's no trim at all, when I try and post pics, they are all too large, If anyone can tell me how to post I'd be happy to. I really don't think you'll be disappointed.

The Shop tech and I were talking different combo's (of what to leave on or take off... I thought about leaving the 2500HD on the doors but with the side moldings gone , I thought they would look out of place ....I for sure, am planning to leave the LT emblems on the cab .
As for the tailgate emblems , I like the look of the gate clean ...BUT , I really can't decide . thus , the request for PIC'S from people who have removed them all ..

I have to decide soon . The shop will be done with my truck monday.

Thanks for the pic"s ... One thing I have decided for sure ....The door trim is GOING AWAY on my truck !!!! I love the body lines without the trim ..

Gonna dump the "4X4" on the rear quarters too !!

gonna give it a try prolly gona be kinda small. used a heat gun and 3M adhesive remover.

take em ALL off!!!!!!!!
The 4x4 and tailgate stickers are the most noticeable, and oh so great.

haha I am still trying to get a better and bigger pic, but thanks for the compliment, really. At first I took off everything except for the Duramax Diesel emblem, thinking it would look good, NOT. I took it off too. I really do not regret it and it may look a lil plain jane, but diff rims and escalade handles and a billet grille, MAN everyone thinks I look at my truck too much now, wow, I love my truck.
Oh yeah, black is hard very hard to keep clean, but as soon as better weather gets here I will be investing in Zaino. You must check this out as well:

I scored a set of full chrome H2 wheels which I think will look sweet on the truck ...Especially with all the badging off ...

As for Zaino , Already use it .. Have been for quite some time . Takes a bit of time/work but well worth it !!

I wont be doing any waxing anytime soon on the HD . Have to wait 60 to 90 days (at least on the front fenders ) for the new paint to cure ...Not a problem tho , I keep it garaged most of the time and drive my 87 camino SS ( black & the Zaino keeps it looking sweet) as a commuter , I bought the HD to tow my TT ...and it tows it well !

Not black, but I'm pulling off all my trim. The dorky 4x4 stickers are gone, as is the tailgate emblems. Next off will be the door emblems... Stealth baby!!

Yup, a little cleaner wax and couldn't tell they weren't there from the beginning. My truck's not real old, however.

Lock , I see yours is an 04 so the paint is still fresh..I am sure mine will blend in also ..

I think it is going to look great also , and with 265's , pulling my 27 " TT should be the same as the stocks ....

NOW ....If I could just get my truck back . Life would be good
