I am in my third winter season with my truck and in the last month the trans has developed a very stiff shifter in the morning. After it warms up, it's not too bad. But when it gets real cold (Near 0), i almost have to use 2 hands to shift it to Drive. Called the dealer today to schedule it for service to have it checked and was told that there is a service bulletin for that and the only fix is to let the truck warm up longer before driving.
Well...I plug it in on real cold nights (near 0), and run it for at least 15 minutes before leaving for work. I explained that to him, and he told me it needs about 30 minutes! WTCensored ? That's lots of extra hours on the engine and diesel ain't as cheap as it used to be.
Could I please see the TSB?
Thanks in advance!!!

Yeah ok. Like it's normal to let your Dmax warm up for a half hour before driving???! I don't think so. Last week it was -30F and my truck wasn't plugged in. All I did was let it idle for about 5 Mins. before I left my driveway. It honestly shifted normally.

These are the only ones I could find.
Allison LCT1000 Transmission Hard to Remove from Park - kw automatic bind cable garage hard shift #PIP3151A - (Oct 1, 2004)
Allison LCT1000 Transmission Hard to Remove from Park
.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
GMT800 pick-up trucks equipped with the Allison LCT1000 Automatic Transmission may exhibit a condition in which it is hard to shift the transmission out of park. The condition may be more easily duplicated with the vehicle on a slight incline. The vehicle will require considerably more effort to remove from park then an identically equipped vehicle under the same conditions.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect the shift cable routing for any kinks or other damage. Also make sure there is no ice build up around the cable on vehicles located in cold weather climates. If the external shifting system outside the transmission appears to be functioning correctly, replace the Park Pawl Apply Assembly (listed as a "Forward Clutch Pawl" in the parts catalog) inside the transmission with p/n 29536570.
.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.

This shield is NOT available through GMSPO and must be purchased from a distributor like, Custom Truck Parts, phone 1-800-803-7785. Cost of the shield is approximately $100 and installation time is approximately 0.4 hours. Installation of this shield is not considered to be warranty.
